- She hears a sound and leaves the barn
- That night she goes through the photo album

- At the end of the book, she notices that there are pictures of her covered in blood. The cat picture seen in ever photo.
- She freaks out and tucks herself into bed, closing her eyes, telling herself that she's only dreaming.
- Then a hand grabs her throat
- She wakes up and she's lying on the floor of the barn
